User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Some good information
I agree with both the positive and negative reviews on this book. I purchased it and found it to be a very thin book with a lot of blank pages. However, I think it’s a good step by step book for managing your time and setting up a prospecting system. As for techniques to find business, I think it’s somewhat lacking.

The best book I’ve seen on real estate prospecting is Real Estate Prospecting: The Ultimate Resource Guide(Loren Keim), which actually goes through a couple dozen prospecting targets and how to approach them. It even has sample letters, scripts and methods of contact.

The other really good prospecting book, particularly for online and for follow up was Real Estate Rainmaker: Guide to Online Marketing (Dan Gooder Richard) which outlines how to truly create a follow-up system. Both great books

Overall, I think the ABC’s of Prospecting is a decent read and has some very good and valid points.

1 Star Specialty Books are Not Worth It!
I bought an “out-of-print” business book for a discussion group. When I ordered it, I missed the fact it was a paperback, thinking the price was OK for a hardback. Whatever reasoning was used to determine the price, the book is a ripoff.

The prose is boring, repetitive, pedantic, and there are numerous grammatical and spelling mistakes throughout.

The subject is not given an in-depth treatment. Rather, it is an example of a writer – thinking he/she has professional expertise to sell – would do better to find a new career. No wonder the book is out-of-print!
